New Laser Doppler Displacement Meter Arrives

One of our newest calibrators is the Optodyne MCV-4000

This Laser Doppler Displacement Meter is a high-precision
displacement measuring device capable of simultaneous
linear and angular data collection.

It measures linear displacement, straightness, squareness, parallelism,
angular, surface flatness, and guideway alignment. Its major applications
would be calibration of CNC machine tools, CMM’s, Leadscrews, DRO’s,
surface plates, checking pitch/yaw angles and straightness of machine axes.
Material temperature, air temperature and air pressure variations are
automatically compensated for by software using data from the system’s sensors.
